Windows Vista (TM) become Evaluation copy. Build 6001 after install SP1 Service Pack
my laptop have 2GB memory, but very often after vista taken 60% of physical memory it become slow. and the Internet Explorer also crush after viewing webs for a while, the IE7 was fast at the beginning, after a while it become slow, and later it can not open new web pages anymore.
the same IE7 problem also happens on XP. while i heard Microsoft has releasing the SP1 for vista. i download and installed Service Pack 1, v744 RC1 and installed it several days ago.
the IE seems better now, but there is a new problem that the vista become a evaluate edition? there is a string right above the notification area says:
Windows Vista (TM) Evaluation copy. Build 6001
“Evaluation copy” is mentioned in the SP1 RC documentation, to include the fact that your version of windows is still valid. I heard when you purchase the CD of SP1 this will go away, The release date for the SP1 CD is Feb 18th of 2008.
