very often people ask me how much disk space or how much RAM is required to install windows vista. they were curious about the new os and wanna give it a try. how ever their hardware was poor, some people still using Pentium III and feel proud of it.

last month i bought a new big disk(250GB) for my laptop from the internet. i need it as my data grows. the old one(120GB) can not full fill.

after a clean install of Windows Vista Ultimate on my laptop that has a dual core cpu and 2GB RAM, i had a look and captured a picture of the disk space usage. here i see 7.97GB was taken, include the 2.5GB pagefile.sys. compare to XP that takes 1.2GB and windows 98 takes only 300M. it was a lot.
